# 4. Add & manage Metrics
## What is a Metric?

## How to add & manage Metrics
### 1. Select a Metric creation method
You can directly add a custom prompt or choose a provided template.
### 2. Enter a custom prompt
If using a custom prompt, directly enter the prompt to use for evaluation. If using a custom prompt, directly enter the prompt to use for evaluation.
### 3. Key Mapping
Check the values required by the Metric and map the necessary keys for evaluation.
### 4. Evaluation Quality Preview
The evaluation quality of the configured Metric `+Add Query/Response` by adding data `Run Test` can be checked through the Preview when executed.
